  Allen K Prosser, Sr. (1948- 2019) wrote "The Helmet of Salvation" over the course of 8 years. It became his primary focus as he submitted his will to his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a man humbled by the challenges his life direction took. He came to know that God is supreme above all else and the only source of lasting inner healing. He had gifts of Discernment and Prophecy which God used to help many individuals and small home groups as he travelled around the country over the years. His heart was to help people and see them set free from the spiritual bondages they found themselves in. His one-on-one mentoring particularly in the later years of his life helped change others lives. This book is a fulfillment of a prophetic vision that demonstrated that the spiritual tools and weapons that he would share with the body of Christian believers would reach and impact many, more people. He said He knew why God chose him to write this book, because he was an empty vessel. He had had many strokes and could not take credit for the wisdom and revelation contained in it's pages. He was just a willing participant. He co-facilitated, with his wife Karen, a Faith-based, 12-step recovery program for his last 6 years in their Hope for Healing Ministry in Fort Kent, Maine. His legacy lives on with the publishing of this book two years after his death. 

  Karen M Prosser married Allen Prosser in 2006 and they travelled together by RV in ministry work until finally settling down in Fort Kent, Maine in 2013. The year following birthed the ministry center of "Hope for Healing" where she continues to facilitate their 12-step, faith-based recovery program. Recently retiring from a 30 year nursing career she continues in her pastoral calling while being in community with others working the program. She worked collaboratively with Allen over the years editing and formatting the book and teaching from it as it was being written. Initially their website offered the first nine chapters of the book for download for free to get people started on their journey. The website will be used as a  marketplace for the book and other books to be written that the Lord has directed her to do.
Both she and Allen were pastor's kids who went astray in their teen years. Each having incredible redemption stories in their adult lives when they experienced the grace, mercy, and forgiveness of a loving Father God. She claims she knows why God put her and Al (15 years her senior) together. God used Al to help her grow up and He used her to help Al loosen up. He was the accelerator and she was the brakes. A testimony of how God could bring two very different Prodigals together and make it work for his purposes. She credits the Lord with being the glue in their relationship.
